Cafe Safavi is one of the only venues in Port Pirie to serve Vittoria Coffee — one of the most prestigious names in the industry, often called the Ferrari of coffee. Every cup is pulled with care on our espresso bar by owner and barista Saeid Safavi.
And don't sleep on our hot chocolates and mochas — rich, velvety and finished by hand, they're a local favourite on cool Pirie mornings.
Our cake fridge is one of the most loved corners of the cafe. Glass jars stacked with house biscuits sit above shelves of cheesecakes, slices, mudcakes, muffins and seasonal sweets — all best enjoyed with a freshly pulled Vittoria coffee or one of our signature hot chocolates.
Stop in, take a look, and pick your favourite. Whole cakes are available to order for birthdays and special occasions.

Saeid is the heart of Cafe Safavi — owner, head barista, and a three-time winner of the SA Regional Barista Championship in 2011, 2012 and 2013. His obsession with the perfect extraction and beautifully poured milk is exactly why locals say his coffee is the best in town.
Saeid draws on his Persian heritage to bring warmth and generosity to every guest — a warm, welcoming room on Florence Street where everyone, local or visiting, is family at the door.
He chose Vittoria Coffee for Safavi because nothing else lived up to the standard he sets behind the machine. Today, every espresso, flat white, latte and mocha that crosses the counter is pulled with the same championship-level care.
"Great coffee isn't a recipe — it's a habit. Same beans, same hands, every day." — Saeid

A bright, airy dining room with timber floors, arched windows and room for the whole family.

Great coffee and tasty toasties. Delicious cakes, but I was full from the very generous serve of ham, cheese and tomato toasted sandwiches, made with a very good continental bread. Stopped here when driving from Adelaide to Whyalla. So good that we stopped here on the return journey. Friendly, welcoming staff.
Enjoyed a lovely hot breakfast of eggs Benni with bacon. Good quality toast, eggs cooked perfectly and the bacon was crispy. Excellent coffee which I would give a solid 8/10 and I'm fussy about my coffee. The owners have been there for 22 years, are courteous, organised and timely. Go give it a try folks, you won't be disappointed!!
Really great food, drinks, and service — highly recommend. The coffee was served very quickly and tasted great.
